NHS Professionals wins Recruitment Company of the Year

NHS Professionals saw off the competition to be crowned Recruitment Company of the Year at one of the recruitment industry’s biggest awards ceremonies.

Members of the NHSP team were in London to pick up the accolade at the Recruiter Awards Gala, which recognises outstanding performance by staffing organisations and teams.

In selecting the winner, a panel of industry experts, noted: ‘…a number of serious achievements by NHS Professionals against a backdrop of a challenging year, especially for the NHS and the country as a whole.’

They added they were ‘…seriously impressed with its (NHS Professionals) deliverables in a testing environment.’

And it is the third success in a week for NHS Professionals, who also scooped two ‘best in category’ for two industry awards at the Association of Professional Staffing Companies (APSCo) ceremony.

Nicola McQueen, NHS Professionals Chief Executive, who was with her team to collect the award, said:

"I’m so proud of everyone at NHS Professionals, this award is a huge endorsement for all our continued commitment as the leading flexible workforce provider to the NHS. This is particularly special coming as it does on the back of two other recruitment award wins this week at APSCo.”

“It’s really gratifying to get recognition for the hard work that the whole NHSP team puts in on a daily basis to give the very best support for patient care and our NHS.”

As part of their decision making, judges also recognised that NHS Professionals was able to deliver growth of its candidate base to over 190,000 Bank Members - an increase of over 10,000; and filled 6,153,896 shifts, as well as delivering 51,605,690 hours of patient care.

In addition, they also noted that NHS Professionals had won four new managed service provider (MSP) contracts, as well as working with over 100 other healthcare organisations through a variety of employment models: ‘…attracting a more diverse client base beyond acute settings, including integrated care systems and hospices’, among others.
